The Marketing Communications Manager II will develop, implement, and manage annual and long-range marketing plans, programs, and strategies for the assigned business market to support the organization’s goals and objectives. Scope of responsibility includes, but is not limited to, advertising, promotion, association partnerships, market development, voice-of-customer research, ecommerce, marketing tech stack and customer relationship events. Achieve approved annual plan objective with regard to sales, profit contribution, and asset management.
What Will You Do?In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
Work cross-divisionally and cross-functionally with associated business divisions, international, corporate accounts and R&D Engineering to develop and execute both short and long-range business plans, strategies and goals for the business market. Coordinate with product managers, marketing communications, training, sales, technical assistance center, and market channel on major events for the business market including educational seminars, trade shows, business meetings, factory fly-ins, customer forums and more.
Manage the end-to-end operations of the e-commerce platform, including site maintenance, product listings, and digital content strategy, ensuring an engaging user experience and optimizing performance metrics to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
Lead the internal and external communication strategy including all collateral/catalogs, public relations, advertising, social media, internet positioning, etc.
Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies for both B2C and B2B segments, ensuring tailored approaches to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement across diverse channels and market segments.
Manage daily activities of the media studio and content creation team, including project planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization, ensuring high-quality production standards and timely delivery of content.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the ad agency, overseeing campaign development, coordinating strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment with brand objectives, while optimizing agency performance and budget utilization to achieve measurable marketing goals.
Create targeted campaigns and programs with domestic distribution, to grow share of mind and expand share of market with end users. Manage market research activities, analyze results, recommend and direct strategies to capitalize opportunities. Oversee special projects by leading the execution of VOC research and product development process through the NPD process. Identify and assess new competitors/threats in current or new product/market areas. Communicate need for appropriate competitive strategies.
Liaise with R&D engineering to evaluate the commercial viability of new products, services, and technologies. Define the integration plan and assist with the initial assimilation of new products and services into the business unit. Participate in the annual business planning process and strategic discussions with cross-functional teams, participate in project planning and review (including project prioritization) and work directly with Marketing Director and Product Marketing to understand product portfolio gaps and opportunities.
Oversee the performance and development the learning management system, ensuring the delivery of effective training programs for dealers, troubleshooting system issues, and implementing enhancements to improve user experience and learning outcomes.

What Do You Need?To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline, and 8+ years marketing experience (or MBA with 5+ years marketing experience), to include new product development in durable, service-oriented goods.
Experience with distribution, advertising and sales promotion along with managing Profit/Loss statement.
Business to business experience through a distribution system is highly preferred.
Successful experience in market and/or product management.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills, influencing ability, and effective participation in cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to clearly understand markets and customer needs.
Strong analytical skills.
Industry knowledge and interest desired
Strong relationship builder with key industry entities, sales and channel.

Manage travel expense budget for self and team of reports.
Contribute to long-range and annual plans.
Work closely with marketing directors, regional marketing managers, and marketing communications teams.
Build strong cross-functional working relationships with Engineering, Sales and Customer Care departments.
Travel Requirement:20-25%, including international travel.
