We are seeking a skilled Software Development Manager and Architect to join our team. The Software Development Manager’s will be responsible for designing and implementing .net web-based applications, analyzing user requirements to inform application design, and creating architectural models that demonstrate the flow and functionality of applications. An ideal candidate must be proficient with .net, Azure Devops and its ecosystems, has a deep understanding of object-oriented programming, and is familiar with various design and architectural patterns. As a Software Development Manager, you will not only design and develop cutting-edge web applications using the latest technologies but also lead and mentor a team of talented developers. You will be responsible for overseeing the project’s delivery, ensuring the quality standards, and collaborating with the existing offshore development team. You will also communicate effectively with the clients and stakeholders and provide technical guidance and support as needed.

 

The day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applicationsDesign, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable codeEnsure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applicationsHelp maintain code quality, organization, and automatizationArchitect and design high scale, robust, and cutting-edge applicationsGuide and provide technical leadership to the software development teamStay updated with emerging technologies and software architecture in the Java landscapeThe role involves designing and developing both public web applications and line of business sites using the latest technologiesThe role also involves leading and mentoring a team of developers, and overseeing the project delivery and quality standardsAs a Software Development Manager, you will also be involved in a minimum of 50% of the coding tasks, as well as code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment of the web applications.Leading the team means:Setting the vision and direction for the projectManaging the team's workload and performanceProviding feedback and coaching to the team membersResolving any issues or conflicts that ariseManaging the interaction with 3rd party outsourced development vendorAssessing the quality and security of the code from the vendor and the internal team membersThe role requires effective communication with the clients and stakeholders, and technical guidance and support as needed 

Requirements: 

At least 10 years of senior development experience in addition to 7 years of experience in managing a development team, preferably in a global or offshore setting, and demonstrate strong leadership and problem-solving skills.Experience designing software systems with various Microsoft technologies such as C#, .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, Dot NET COREEnsure compliance to all architecture requirements and ability to adjust based on current best practicesExtensive experience coding in UI technologies such as JavaScript, Typescript, Angular, HTMLExperience with WCF, Web API, REST, and multi-tier distributed systemsExperience validating and evaluating development toolsExperience with evaluation and review of Dot Net documentationKnowledge of DevOps tools and technologies within a Microsoft Stack Experience with SAML and application security best practicesKnowledge of using .net Core in serverless environments (AWS)Knowledge and experience with active application monitoring
