Four years of experience in related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Must be a current Sam Houston State University employee in order to be considered for this position. Nature & Purpose of Position Performs complex managerial work administering the community standards for the Dean of Student’s Office. Primary Responsibilities Manages and reviews incoming incident reports and submitted evidenced. Determines potential code violations, create, and assign cases. Completes administrative review intake process, schedules all administrative reviews, and sends initial notice to student. Maintain disciplinary records including sending second notices, account holds, processing sanction completion, and follow-up notices. Collaborates with Residence Life to administer charges and records sanctions in 3rd Millennium and Maxient. Processes and completes non-academic grievances, Behavioral/Medical/Family (BMF) alerts, behavioral intervention reports, conduct references and clearance checks. Processes study abroad applications and open records requests. Process and analyze 3rd Millennium sanction reports and completion rates. Process analytic reports for student conduct, behavioral intervention, non-academic grievances, and absence notifications using Maxient reporting. Prepare and publish required annual reports (e.g., Hazing, Drug Free Schools, etc.). Assist with annual reviews, updates, and publishing of student code of conduct. Annually reviews, updates, and publishes student code of conduct. Analysis and assess discipline trends, student retention, and best practices for restorative justice. Collaborate with University Police, Residence Life, and Title IX on investigations, mandatory reporting, and policy/procedure updates. Make recommendations for policy and process revisions that support compliance, safety, and community standards. Complete Annual 3rd Millennium, Maxient, and Campus Connect/Salesforce audits. Connect students with appropriate institutional resource and track trends on student outreach connections. Performs other related duties as assigned. Other Specifications Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Ability to manage business functions. Communicates with other university departments, personnel, and other agencies.
