Position Summary
Provides oversight, leadership and clinical guidance to assigned Imaging services teams. Assists the Director with technical operations to ensure that the quality management of assigned areas (i.e., CT, Radiology, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI) meets all regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
• Maintains established hospital standards of care through effective staffing, monitoring and evaluation of policies, procedures, quality and process improvement initiatives and standards
• Performs annual performance evaluations, coaching and counseling
• Participates and collaborates in the interviewing and hiring process to insure the people hired meet Kootenai Health standards
• Promotes and maintains effective communications between all shifts and other departments
• Responsible for developing, monitoring and justifying the service line’s budget
• Oversees Safety, Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in field Health Science preferred
• Current registration in area of expertise (ARDMS, ARRT, NMTCB, etc.)
• 5 years’ supervisory experience in an acute care hospital or outpatient clinic setting required
• Ability to use a computer and department specific software and EHR programs
• BLS required
Working Conditions
• Must be able to maintain a sitting and/or standing position
• Must be able to stoop or crouch
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job
• Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height
• Must be able to move or traverse with/without accommodation
• Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
• Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs
