Summary This position manages activities and personnel through analysis of system needs, planning and knowledge of complex network systems ensuring that all solutions are within the strategic business objectives. Under the general direction of the Chief Information & Digital Officer, responsible for all shifts, 7 days/week, 24 hours/day. Responsibilities • Organizes, evaluates, and directs activities of the Technical Services department. Identifies staffing requirements and professional development needs, and directs staff through efficient utilization of resources to ensure departmental/organizational goals are met. • Monitors strategic needs of the organization by identifying and recommending system solutions to be incorporated in the overall strategic plan to ensure business needs are in alignments with strategic initiatives. Identifies new technologies by maintaining current knowledge of these technologies and development methods to inform management concerning benefits, cost-efficiency, and proposed methods for implementation. • Formulates and maintains standards for information systems equipment and systems to ensure compatibility, potential for integration, proper support and maintenance, and access to critical applications. • Manages the development and monitoring of projects and project schedules. Coordinates and directs internal and external resources to achieve project objectives and timelines. • Assists with negotiating computer equipment, software, and service and/or maintenance agreements. Maintains proper vendor relationships and contract renewal schedules. • Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed. Requirements, Preferences and Experience Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education. Minimum Experience Seven (7) years of experience in IT with a minimum of two (2) years management or project management experience.
