HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your Role:

Ensures the coordination, quality, and cost effectiveness of operations provided in Pharmacy Services’ (department 7070) main pharmacy at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc. (TMH). Responsible for appropriate medication therapy management for patients served by Pharmacy Services and the hospital; Ensures the coordination, quality, and cost effectiveness of operations provided by inpatient pharmacy services (main pharmacy). Assists the Asst Dir Pharmacy Operations with overseeing inpatient pharmacy operations and is accountable (with the Asst Dir Pharmacy Operations and Director/Pharmacy (JC: 011301)) for the main pharmacy areas, including human resources and budgeting. Enhances pharmaceutical care, develops clinical programs, develops staff members, and analyzes data to assess program associated outcomes; Assists with overseeing all inpatient pharmacy activities. Monitors financial performance and adjusts resources to maximize profitability while maintaining exceptional quality and service. Responsible for effective communications and teamwork between TMH leadership, and Pharmacy Services; Serves as a national spokesperson and represents, communicates, and promotes TMH’s inpatient pharmacy services to other providers, administrators, legislators, researchers, and others (as needed). Displays an understanding of diversity. Demonstrates integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence (ICARE values). Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients. Performs miscellaneous duties not expressly described herein.

Asst Dir Pharmacy Operations (JC: 020401).

 

Supervises: 

Pharmacist Pharmacist Clinical Pharmacy Technician I/Non-CertPharmacy Technician II/CertPharmacy Technician III/CertPharmacy Technician IV/Cert WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

 

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited pharmacy school.

 

Preferred Education: 

 

Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree (or equivalent experience)

 

Required Experience: 

 

Three (3) years of relevant registered pharmacist work experience, including one (1) year of inpatient pharmacy supervisory experience.

 

Preferred Experience:

Advanced training in business, public health, health administration, and/or pharmacy administration. Pharmacy residency (or comparable) experience. Research project experience with results presentation and publication. Knowledge of pharmacy services cost justification principles and methods. Knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, standards, and practices related to pharmaceutical care provision. Philosophical understanding of pharmaceutical care. Creativity for developing and integrating innovative pharmaceutical care services. Concentrated interest in pharmacy administration.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

 Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a pharmacist in accordance with Florida Statutes (F.S.), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), chapter 465 (Pharmacy), Sections 007 through 013.   -
