Position Summary:
The IT Network and Voice Infrastructure Manager is responsible for leading a team of network engineers and technicians who design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot the network infrastructure at Kootenai Health. Oversees the network security, performance, and budget of the network department. Reports to the Executive Director IT Services and collaborate with other IT managers and operational stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities:
•    Responsible for maintaining a work culture that encourages departmental cooperation, exceptional customer service, and enterprise leading employee satisfaction
•    Oversees, researches, evaluates, and implements telecommunications and network equipment and services
•    Ensures service level agreements and exceptional system uptimes are achieved and maintained
•    Ensures that staff members develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and knowledge base articles for installing, maintaining and repairing enterprise telecommunications and networking equipment
•    Evaluates vendors and partners, negotiates contracts and ensures contracts are kept current
•    Performs other related duties as assigned
•    Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
•    Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
•    Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
•    Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

 

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field required; 5 years’ lead or other equivalent leadership experience may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
•    Minimum 7 years’ experience in network administration or engineering required in addition to education requirement
•    Professional certification in network technologies, such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE preferred
•    Advanced knowledge of network protocols, architectures, devices, and security
•    Proficient in network design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
•    Experience in leading and managing a team of network professionals preferred
•    Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
•    Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

 

Working Conditions:
•    Must be able to lift and move up to 10lbs
•    Must be able to maintain a sitting position
•    Typical equipment used in an office job
•    Repetitive movements
