Job Posting TitleManager IT - Operations Observability Engineering RemoteJob DescriptionThe Manager IT - Operations Observability Engineering is responsible for the management, coordination, capacity tracking of assigned resources for the IT Operations technology engineering team. The Manager promotes Employee engagement. This role is responsible for working in partnership with IT and business leadership to develop technology strategy, implementation plans, adoption methodologies, and operational support for assigned area(s) including monitoring/observability technologies, job/batch scheduling tools, and other technologies.
Responsibilities
Ensure success of projects and maintenance efforts across IT and business functions, incorporating Prime’s best practices and compliance with company standards and industry regulations, maintaining compliance with and adhering to security policies and best practicesProvide technical leadership for a portfolio of assigned applications and technologies (Observability/Monitoring and Operations Tools); develop and deliver on technology strategies and practices that promote quality, stability and supportability to deliver on long-term technology growth and sustainabilityCollaborate with business partners and IT to determine how technology can drive value for Prime’s customers, address issues and identify solutions to meet or exceed business needCoordinate and manage team workload, staffing requirements, and project assignment roles of resources; provide tools, professional development opportunities, and environment needed for staff to be effective and productive; develop and communicate employee performance objectives and coachingWork closely with IT teams across Infrastructure, Operations, and Business Applications/Products to leverage observability and monitoring technology to drive high availability and stability of systems and meet client commitments for SLAs.Partner closely with fellow IT leaders to strategize and implement solutions across technology, staffing, and process dimensions to meet business and IT goalsRepresent and promote IT department on planning and development initiativesOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required 6 years of relevant work experience in wide range of IT-related roles with exposure to variety of technologies and applications and 3 years of experience with IT monitoring/observability platforms leading a team of hands-on-engineering of technologies such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic 2 years of people management experienceMust be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorshipAdditional Qualifications
Experience leading large technology implementation projects and working with a variety of stakeholdersExperience with IT cloud implementations; public cloud hosting or PaaS/SaaS solutionsExcellent leadership and interpersonal skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex material to wide range of audiences in plain languageStrong problem solving and business analysis skillsAbility to multi-task, manage projects, set time frames, and meet deadlinesAbility to work as team player, comfortable with fast paced, changing environment and ambiguityPreferred Qualifications
Success in leading technology replacement projects for IT tools/technologies from business case development to implementationExtensive experience with Dynatrace observability technologyProven ability to use technology to create operational efficiency and reduce/eliminate outages through the use of orchestration, automation, and monitoring/event management toolsExperience managing data center footprint expenses and technologiesPBM / healthcare / regulated market company experiencePrevious experience interfacing with executive level of leadershipExperience in information systems operationsExperience working with large systems integratorsAdvanced degree or certificationsMinimum Physical Job Requirements
