This manager role leads a team charged with the development of materials that are used to train operational staff. The materials are expected to be reliably accurate and represent the policies and procedures that are approved for operating business at Priority Health. The manager oversees the library system that stores the documentation, the versioning, updating and routine inspection to assure constant accuracy. The role includes corporate interface with departments the develop policies, amend policies, or oversee government compliance to be sure revisions occur as needed. Plans and leads the activities that results in the objectives stated.
Essential FunctionsOversees training program delivery strategy to provide an in depth understanding of Epic product functionality. Responsible for ensuring capability of Epic technology is maximized through effective training, resulting in transfer of knowledge and skills that support organizational needs.Oversees the training related upgrade and optimization processes including deployment strategy in conjunction with Epic application support teams, informatics and clinical / operational leaders. Responsible for ensuring timely delivery, appropriate and effective ongoing training needs.Implements and coordinates a skills and competency development process for the Health Systems trainers, decentralized credentialed trainers, and end user staff involved in Epic applications. Leads analysis of current skills to identify skill gaps in Epic application systems and works with Health Systems to prioritize skills training and development imperatives.Develop audience specific training infrastructure including traditional and computer-based curriculum materials, to organize the registration and certification processes and to conduct classroom and one-on-one training.Analyzes customer training needs, developing and organizing the training service and providing training on assigned applications.Contributes to financial objectives by developing cost-effective educational programs, and creating and implementing training effectiveness evaluation tools.Ensures the communication of relevant changes for new software updates by designing, writing, editing, assembly and distribution of course materials. Engages in training process leadership and quality improvement activities. Ensures a technical learning environment exists in the organization.QualificationsRequired
