Fairfax Hospital - Lab - Stem Cell Transplant Cell Therapy is looking for a dedicated Manager of Laboratory Services to join the team. This role will be Full Time, Days from Monday – Friday, 8:00-5:00pm.  Hours may vary in the future

Job Responsibilities:

Oversees assigned department or functional area to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks. Verifies bills from reference Laboratories, supply companies, Red Cross, etc. for payment. Participates in establishing goals, objectives and standards for short term and long term planning. Monitors and evaluates the quality and appropriateness of service provided while recommending and implementing change. Ensures that all equipment/instrumentation is maintained in proper condition and that preventive maintenance is performed and documented. Establishes Laboratory test charges, assesses current test pricing with other Laboratories within the system and recommends changes to budget office.Other duties as assigned

Additional Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Science, Medical Technology, Histo/Cyto Technology, Chemistry, Biology or Physical Science Experience: 4 years of Supervisory experience required Certification: AMT or ASCP AMT- Medical Lab Scientist (MLS), Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Lab Technician (MLT), Histotechnician (HT), Histotechnologist (HTL), Technologist in Blood Banking (BB), Technologist in Chemistry (C), Technologist in Hematology (H), Technologist in Microbiology (M), Cytotechnologist (CT), Clinical Laboratory Technologist ACSP- Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Lab Scientist (MLS), Histotechnician (HT), Histotechnologist (HTL), Technologist in Blood Banking (BB), Technologist in Chemistry (C), Technologist in Hematology (H), Technologist in Microbiology (M), Cytotechnologist (CT), Clinical Laboratory Technologist STEM Cell Experience: Preferred
