Manager Linen Services I Laundry/Linen I Day I Full Time
Overview Manages Assistant Manager, Supervisor and Linen Techs and contributes to the strategic initiatives of Supply Chain Services by providing 24/7 tactical direction and leadership to Linen Service customers ensuring all their requirements are met by proper linen supply inventory, replenishment, analytics and project support. Through collaboration and direct accountability with overall Supply Chain Services goals, the Linen Services Manager will develop a system-wide approach for end-to-end Linen Services integration and continuously improve customer service and support to customers. Research, analyze and provide recommendations regarding process improvement opportunities. Works closely with Shands campus and offsite clinical customers to receive ongoing feedback in order to adjust inventory levels and improve service provisions. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Associates degree in a business or health-related profession and 3 years supervisory or management experience in a linen operation is required. A bachelors or masters degree is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of hospital operations to include knowledge of patient care delivery, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as knowledge of procedural-area operations such as perioperative services, cath lab, endoscopy is required. Demonstrated knowledge of point-of-use inventory and linen management systems is also required. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and build consensus with key stakeholders. Strong oral and written communication skills to include the ability to present and articulate product/process changes to all levels within an organization, as well as skills in driving change, is required. Proven ability to problem-solve, initiate and complete projects and function independent of direct oversite is a must. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a non-frequent driver NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or University of Florida Health automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
