Manager - Logistics
**Job Description :** **Context/Scope Objective** The role primarily entails the management of Logistics Projects, Optimization and Improvements for Pan India Inbound and Outbound Logistics. Personal will also be responsibility to ensure timely delivery of input materials from suppliers to manufacturing sites and delivery of finished goods to customers / depots. Person will have to work closely with planning team, manufacturing team, finance team, transformation team and commercial team to ensure smooth execution of improvement projects in logistics operations **Purpose of Position** To drive Logistics Optimization, Project Management and Logistics Capability building **Decision Making Authority** + Productivity Savings Delivery + On time Projects Delivery + Process enhancement + Logistics Digitization **Financial Accountability (Budget/Revenue)** Logistics Cost and Savings Digitization Cost Optimization **Market /Function Complexity** Pan India **Leadership Responsibilities** Cross functional stakeholder management, Assertiveness, and ownership to for on-time delivery of Materials and Finished Goods within cost targets **Qualifications and Experience Required** **Qualifications** - Engineer and a post Graduate degree in Operations / Supply-chain / Manufacturing from Tier 1 B School. **Experience** + Experience in Logistics, Operations, Planning in Supply Chain. + 2-6 years of experience in FMCG or related industry + Proficiency in using Logistics Tools + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. + Experience with process improvement methodologies is a plus (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). **Key Accountabilities** Truck Loadability + Drives Loadability (Truck capacity utilization) to > 95% for Inbound as well as outbound + Detailed Assessment / Route cause of low loadability by lane / by channel etc. and drive the action items to improve loadability to >95% + Implement right truck types to ensure high loadability and reduce per case fright cost **Logistics Project Management** + Identify Key Improvement Opportunities in Logistics & Warehousing + Complete responsibility to drive all Logistics & warehousing related projects. + Define Projects with clear deliverables and timelines + Drive and deliver projects to completion as per agreed objectives **Accountabilities Transport Management System (TMS) Management and Logistics Digitization** + Complete accountability to ensure adherence to TMS processes + Accountable to ensure adherence to TMS usage for Inbound as well as outbound + Ensuring breakages are within control and managed using systems + On time payment to transporters + Drive TMS upgradations as per business needs + Drive Digitization in Logistics Identify, key needs, system requirements and lead implementation. **Logistics Analytics and Insights** + Analyse logistics data to recommend and implement improvements + Logistics Performance Monitoring and Management On time truck placement Partial + Coordinate with LSPs to ensure truck placements for timely delivery of goods and materials + Measure Truck Placement performance **Succession Plan Opportunities** Person will have opportunity to take next role within broader supply chain horizontally or vertically **Diversity statement** Celebrating our inclusive and diverse culture is core to Diageo’s purpose of “celebrating life every day everywhere”.
