What You Get to Do
Our Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining facilities and equipment and improving our business results. This individual will be responsible for leading the maintenance department, fully implementing existing computerized maintenance system, overseeing the continuous improvement of the manufacturing maintenance process and executing long-term strategic plans.
Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees in the maintenance department to minimize backlog. Troubleshooting of process and quality issues related to equipment, materials, and customer requirements, working closely with production personnel, product development engineers and management team.Implements and validates conformance to IQ/OQ/PQ program.
Implement solutions to the root cause of problems, and follows up with affected personnel regarding any process, quality, product, or equipment changes. Use systematic troubleshooting techniques to completely identify and eliminate equipment issues in the manufacturing environment. Lead the development and implementation of an effective preventive maintenance program proactively addressing equipment issues. Maintain effective parts/inventory system working to identify critical spares and reduce inventory levels. Actively pursue measures to reduce downtime on plant equipment, identify opportunities and take measures to reduce waste. Coordinate work performed by outside vendors. Ensure efficient repair schedules and repair cost estimates to include preventive and predictive maintenance schedules. Manage maintenance spending within budgeted levels. Develop and lead cost savings projects.Know and follow all safety policies and procedures. Hold all crews accountable for working safely and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. Assist EHS Manager in investigations of incidents and near misses and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) to determine corrective actions. Develop new SOPs if necessary to support safety initiatives and train personnel against new SOP.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, and/or equivalent Maintenance Management experience is required. In addition, candidates must have 3+ years of progressive maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge and experience implementing SPC, IQ/OQ/PQ, DOE. Prefer experience in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing training with Black Belt certification. Knowledge of plastics extrusion, web handling, web winding, and associated process equipment strongly desired. Strong systematic troubleshooting and communication skills a must. Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics (AutoCAD experience a plus). Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Experience implementing or managing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project. Self-motivated and energetic with ability to clearly communicate with various levels of the organization from Machine Operators to upper Management.ProAmpac is a Global packing organization with the safety and health of our team as our top priority.
