About the team
The Supportability Engineering department consists of 50 domain experts and is responsible for the definition, development and realization of ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) for our radar and combat management systems. The department consists of the disciplines; Maintenance Engineering, Obsolescence Management, Customer Documentation and Customer Training.
For the Supportability department we are looking for a Team Manager Maintenance Engineering & Obsolescence Management. The team consist of the following two disciplines:
The Maintenance Engineering team (11 headcount):
Maintenance Engineers and Provisioning Engineers, who play a key role in defining maintenance and influencing the design for a maintainable system;Project Lifecycle Engineers, who support our programs from a Logistics/Maintenance point of view during the lifecycle of our systems.The Obsolescence team (9 headcount):
Obsolescence Engineering; performing obsolescence scans, aligning with suppliers (internal/external) for the providing Obsolescence information and maintaining internal database with this information.Obsolescence Managers; who consider the lifespan of all parts of our complex radar and command and control systems. Developing Obsolescence Management Plans outlines strategies for identifying and mitigating the effects of aging through all stages of the product lifecycle. This minimizes the impact on availability at our customers.About your future job
As a people manager with a strong personality and a pragmatic and transparent way of working, you manage the Maintenance Engineers and Obsolescence teams. Given the current and future workload of the organization, it will be your challenge to assure the right allocation of our experts to the projects and protecting them against work-pressure. In addition, a strong focus is required for a vision of our standardization topics and data consistency. In this function, your responsibilities will be to:
manage and develop the teamsmanage the related processes and tooling, aligned with related departmentsdefine the future skills required for the teams and develop the teams towards these skillsensure the quality assurance process of their outputmanage improvement initiatives and develop innovations with related departments support development of the Obsolescence roadmap together with the End-to-End Process Manager Obsolescenceorganize resource allocation and planning of the teamsbe actively involved in facilitating and managing the work for multiple projects at the same timeWhy you'd be a good match
You have at least a Bachelor degree, preferably in a technical field (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or similar) and you have the following working experience:
experience as a line manager in a high-tech environment with at least 10 direct reportsexperience in planning/scheduling and cost estimation techniques in a project and product environment
