POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Organize and oversee the daily operations of the company. Ensure that the business unit is well-coordinated and productive by managing procedures and coaching the people involved within operations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:
Responsible for the business unit’s operations capacity planning, resources and management.Support business unit growth while continuing to build the skill sets and lead a strong team of people with cross-functional responsibilities, including training matrix.Coordination of Manufacturing/Production efficiency.Work instruction conformanceManage production scheduling, resource planning and development, and total manufacturing cost.Work with GM on establishing an annual manufacturing budget.Responsible for aspects of the business unit’s operational performance results including the achievement of Safety target, Defective Parts Per Million, On Time Delivery, and other KPI’s.Coach team members and continue to support the Creation Core Values while developing a strong culture.Provide support for key customer accounts including developing relationships with some customer representatives and resolving customer issues.Serve as a member of the Business Unit’s Leadership Team and play a key role in the achievement of the Company’s Vision and Strategy within the business unit.Collaborate with other Functional teams in the establishment of procedures as required by the appropriate standards/ regulations, OEM contractual obligations and customer requirements, in ensuring our continuing compliance.Manage the Health and Safety and Environmental functions to drive best practices within the Business Unit.Support other areas of the company with respect to joint initiatives.QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have bachelor’s degree in either business or engineering, or equivalent experience.Previous experience working in an Operations role, minimum 5 years related Operations and leadership experience.Process engineering education, training, and background would be an asset.Entrepreneurial, innovative, flexible team player with a good business acumen, high degree of personal initiative, strong leadership and people skills, and effective presentation and communication abilities.A results-oriented and “make it happen” type person, who is not afraid to get into the game and do whatever needs to be done for the team to win.Experience in contract manufacturing would be an asset.Must be driven by high degree of integrity and professional standards.Understanding of Lean, continuous improvement, quality and related topics with relevant work experience.Superior communication skills, both written and verbalWorking Environment Conditions
Physical Demands
The incumbent must be fit and possess sufficient strength to safely maneuver around archived materials up to 25lbs without injury to themselves or others
Mental Demands
The position involves an above average degree of attention and minimal mental stress in an environment where interruptions may be ongoing.
Working Conditions
The working environment is generally clean; however, the incumbent may be exposed to occasionally dust. The incumbent is required to wear safety clothing and gears while working in safety sensitive areas. Otherwise, office/business casual attire is appropriate
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $95,000-120,000 per per year. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on the date of hire, schedule type, and hours worked.
