Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is currently seeking a Manager Manufacturing Operations 3 located in Salt Lake City, UT.

What You'll get to do

Oversee and manage all operational aspects of the Salt Lake City Inertial Instruments Factory manufacturing and production operations.

Responsible for the safety of the employees, delivering quality products on time and within customer cost targets, and continuous improvement.

Provide leadership direction of design and process development, production, operations, engineering, test and Quality Assurance functions.

Manage and present status on cost, schedule and performance for all projects within the area to Site Leadership.

Lead and support teams to assess issues and develop mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, and delivery goals.

Responsible for the direct supervision of a team of manufacturing managers/supervisors of the assembly and test organizations.

Manage the Instruments Factory Organization of 70+ employees to achieve productivity targets and manage Cost Center budgets.

Develop and execute to a strategic vision for manufacturing and layout of the Instruments Factory.

Support the Director of Manufacturing Operations as a key member of the Operations Leadership team.

The ideal candidate will have to be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and be able to communicate effectively written and verbally throughout the organizational structure and between shifts.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or related field with 8 years of relevant experience; Masters degree in Business, Engineering, or related field with 6 years of relevant experience.Direct leadership experience.Experience supporting a cross functional organization and leading cross functional teams.Experience presenting at Executive levels.Experience managing complex projects.US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

EVMS experience.SAP experience.Manufacturing management experienceInertial instrument (gyroscopes and accelerometers), electronics/circuit card production, and/or design experience.Experience with DoD contracts/Defense Industry.

Salary Range: $133,400.00 - $200,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
