The Senior Marketing Manager position is part of the Global Network Services (GNS) business within the Global Merchant & Network Services business group. The GNS business drives scale and relevance for the enterprise by bringing on and managing financial institutions that issue and/or acquire on the American Express network. The business manages American Express’s presence in over 110 countries and territories through over 240 financial institution partners and is a driver of innovation for the company through the products and services it regularly introduces to the Network. Through the GNS partnerships we can offer exciting and innovative products and benefits in GNS countries, improving merchant coverage, strengthening the value proposition, and amplifying the American Express brand. The Senior Marketing Manager sits within the GNS Product, Marketing and Global Businesses (PMGB) team. The GNS Product, Marketing and Global Businesses (PMGB) team is a dynamic global marketing organisation with responsibility to deliver: + Product & Product Marketing: competitive product strategy and product & campaign delivery in GNS countries + Partner & Customer Experience: infrastructure for value add and compliant experiences + Brand Management: Protect and engage Amex Brand; increase Amex and GNS Brand awareness in GNS countries + Global Businesses: Grow the GNS Supply Chain Solutions B2B business The Manager we are recruiting for plays a critical role in the team responsible for building the American Express business in the South Region, across bank partners, working hand in hand with internal American Express stakeholders. This Manager will execute critical activities to grow the business, across marketing, card acquisition, loyalty execution and partner management. The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge of the consumer marketing mix and customer acquisition, with preferred experience in brand marketing, product development, loyalty, and merchant marketing. **How will you make an impact in this role?** **Strategy** + Work closely with internal teams and external partners on all marketing activities. + Develop and manage detailed plans to optimize activities. + Contribute thought leadership on partner marketing plans and identify opportunities that will drive growth in the market. **Marketing execution** + Work with external partners to develop and deliver marketing activities including: segmentation, research, brand development, advertising, PR, new product development, channel expansion, acquisition, loyalty, activation, rewards and network / merchant marketing. + Generate and implement best practices across campaigns. **Acquisition Planning and Execution** + Work with external partners to successfully implement multiple distribution channels. + Continuous channel management must ensure NCA and CIF targets are met and exceeded on monthly basis. **Engagement/ Loyalty Planning and Execution** + Work closely with external partners on the successful implementation, execution and ongoing management of outstanding early engagement and loyalty programs that will ensure we meet and exceed PIV targets for the market. **Partner Management** + Develop strong relationships with key partners to ensure flawless execution of plans and strategies. + Work with Business Development / Account Managers to ensure American Express achieves its market and growth goals, with the overall aim of being the network of choice. **Minimum Qualifications** + Degree in Marketing, MBA is desirable. + Fluent English and Spanish – Spoken and written. + Strong Excel, PowerPoint as well as project plan management knowledge. + Marketing expertise: deep knowledge of 1-2 different elements of the consumer marketing mix. Preferably online, brand marketing, product development, customer acquisition, loyalty, merchant marketing. + Proven ability to execute multifunctional initiatives within scope, time and to quality standards. + Strong interpersonal/influence management skills with the ability to work across business units, executive levels and diverse functions internally and externally. + Strong critical thinking skills, ability to generate options and assess them before execution + Concise Storytelling + Highly developed commercial acumen and demonstrable skills in driving results by influencing through partner channels. + Partner management: ability to inspire, influence and work with partners. + Driving Results: proven record of driving results, with strong analytical skills. + Flexibility and change management: ability to embrace and drive change. + Highly motivated individual, able to work well independently and within a team. **Preferred Qualifications** + Knowledge of and experience in the credit card market would be preferred. **Qualifications** We back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
