Under the direction of the Director of Medical Imaging, this position is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, and coordinating the hospital's technical and support staff within assigned areas of responsibility. Serves as the subject-matter expert for imaging operations including accountabilities for quality of care, quality of patient experience, employee experience, standard work, and staff competence.  Available for department issues 24/7. Responsible for maintaining all regulatory compliance within Medical Imaging.   Annual Salary Rate: $93,496 - $137,904   Qualifications Education: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Radiology, Business or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work. Preferred Master’s Degree in a related field. Experience: Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible medical imaging or healthcare related experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Requires prior supervisory/management experience. Specialized Training: Must have Radiation Safety specific training. MRI Level 1 and Level 2 Safety Training must be completed within 3 months. Certification/Licensure: Certification in one or more of the following: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDS) Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS: CCI) Licensed by the Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE). Requires BLS. A BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months. Prefer advanced certification in specialty field. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale.  Must be approachable, people oriented, and a good listener.  Must be a change agent able to develop, implement and maintain policies and processes. Requires the ability to be a creative, independent thinker. Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm, combined with the ability to build relationships with business and key stakeholders. Must possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control and coordinate activities. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit.  Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's departmental policies and procedures. Proficient in computer systems, knowledge of medical imaging information systems including PACS.  Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
