What is New Business Onboarding Team responsible for?

New Business Onboarding (NBO) team is part of International Intermediary Oversight (IIO) and plays a central coordinator role between Distribution, Legal, GAS Finance, Product and Operations to oversee the end-to-end intermediary lifecycle process and deliver superior client service experience. 

NBO team supports onboarding and maintenance of the network of over 1000+ Fund Intermediaries, Distributors, Business Introducers, Institutional Investors and Platforms at Franklin Templeton. The activity includes distribution support for all countries and international Regions across APAC, EMEA and Americas. 

What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Manager of the New Business Onboarding team?

Manage a team of 5 staff located in Poznan, Italy, US, and the UK.

Oversee the onboarding and maintenance of intermediary network across all International Regions.

Coordinate signing and updates to distribution, cooperation and NDA agreements with intermediary clients and institutional business.

Facilitate communication and collaboration between the NBO team and other key stakeholders to optimize processes and resolve any issues swiftly.

Deliver superior client service experience across all international regions including APAC, EMEA, and Americas excl. US domestic.

Monitor and report on the performance metrics of the onboarding process to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards.

Implement strategies for enhancing client satisfaction and retention.

Lead and mentor the NBO team, fostering their professional development and growth.

Partner with other leaders to develop and cross-train the IIO teams.

Represent the Franklin Templeton and International Intermediary Oversight (IIO) department at internal meetings and forums and industry events to advocate for the team's goals and achievements.

Network within Franklin Templeton to stay abreast of market trends and foster relationships with key stakeholders.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably within an international or multicultural environment.

Demonstrated experience in team leadership, mentoring, and professional development.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with staff located in multiple countries.

Proven ability to facilitate collaboration between teams and key stakeholders, ensuring smooth process optimization and swift issue resolution.

Experience in monitoring and reporting performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and maintain quality standards.

Expertise in implementing strategies to enhance client satisfaction and retention.

Ability to represent the department at internal meetings, industry events, and forums, advocating for the team's goals and achievements.

Active participation in industry events and networking opportunities to stay updated on market trends and foster relationships with key stakeholders.

Proactive and results-oriented mindset.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Adaptability and flexibility to manage a diverse team across different locations.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.
