The RoleLumen is seeking a Manager to lead a team of Technicians, Engineers, and Technical Project Managers for our Denver Network Operations Center (NOC). They will lead support teams responsible for resolving network related National Voice repair issues in the Service Assurance NOC on a 7x24x365 operational basis. In addition to voice network operations, this role will manage technical professionals performing regulatory and 911 support functions.

LocationThis is a hybrid position open to candidates based in the Denver, Colorado area. The role will be primarily remote, but candidates must have the ability to report to the Denver office location as required for meetings and on an on-call basis for emergencies such as network outages.
The Main Responsibilities Manage a team of direct reports supporting regulatory reporting functions to the FCC and various state Public Utilities Commissions as well as support function for peer 911 NOC teams.Provide oversight and input to technical project managers for 911 support functions, initiatives, and projects Oversee work of complex trouble tickets, focused on timely updates, follow-up, and resolution. Serve as an escalation point for the Lumen National Voice network functions in a 7x24/365 operational environment.Proactively seek opportunities to expand knowledge and stay up to date with regulatory reporting rules (FCC, PUC) and 911 support protocols.Responsible for performance management of direct reports, identifying opportunities for internal growth and development. Establish team goals and performance targets in alignment with strategic corporate objectives, promoting a customer obsessed mindset, and proactively monitoring workload and performance metrics.What We Look For in a CandidateRequired
Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant job experience in voice networks, 911 support, and/or regulatory functionsAbility to travel and work weekends, nights, or after hours as neededExcellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders including peers, leadership, vendors, and clients at all levels and articulate issues that arise from core network implementation, design, repair, surveillance, and performance management Demonstrated ability to perform under emergency conditions, simultaneously managing competing priorities, possibly with frequent interruptions
Preferred
Experience managing large, geographically diverse support teams focused on network operations, voice technology, regulatory, and/or 911Technical knowledge of voice network technologies such as SS7, VoIP, SIP Knowledge of 911, E911 (Martens, Ensemble, DBMS, WebDBMS, BOSS, SOLAR, SONAR, SOPAD, etc.), NG911 and Automatic Location Identification (ALI) database managementCompensation This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.
