The Nurse Manager of a patient care unit or service maintains 24-hour accountability for the clinical leadership of staff. Responsible for overall personnel and fiscal management, clinical standards development, staff development, and the continuous improvement of activities within assigned areas. Through collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, therapists, social workers and others, reviews, analyzes and recommends changes in practice to work toward achieving Queen of the Valley Medical Center's goal to become a Center of Excellence. Practice is in accordance with Joint Commission standards, State and Federal regulatory criteria, and professional practice standards. Proficiency is demonstrated in the required competencies. Performs all duties under minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree: Perinatal Services, 638000: Bachelor's Degree: Surgery, 742100 Bachelor's Degree: Nursing Admin - -Nursing or related field. Bachelor's Degree: Trauma Center, 701100: 3years relevant clinical experience. Emergency Services, 701000: Minimum of 5 years Emergency Department nursing. Infusion Center, 764100: Minimum 3-5 years relevant oncology clinical experience and 2 years of lead/supervisory experience. Perinatal Services, 638000:demonstrated current clinical competency in a department with 3 or more years of supervisor, lead nurse or demonstrated progressive leadership experience. Procedure Center, 739000: 5 years as a staff nurse in a perioperative setting and 2 years or Charge Nurse experience. Recovery/Post Anes (PACU), 742700: 5 years as a staff nurse in a perioperative setting and 2 years or Charge Nurse experience. Surgery, 742100: Demonstrated current clinical competency in a department with 3 or more years of supervisor, lead nurse or demonstrated progressive leadership experience. Trauma Center, 701100:5 years of nursing experience in Emergency Nursing. Nursing Admin: Nursing experience with manager or supervisory experience.
