About the Position: As the Engineering Manager for our Advanced Research Engineering team, you will have the unique opportunity to lead a team of forward-thinking engineers and researchers working on some of the most exciting challenges in the industry. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between research and product development, taking innovative ideas from concept to market-ready solutions. In this role, you will: * Lead and inspire a team working on breakthrough technologies in automation, energy storage, telematics, and IoT. * Manage and oversee R&D programs that drive new product development, improve performance, reduce costs, and keep us ahead of the competition in material handling. * Work closely with the world-class technical teams at Toyota Material Handling, solving tough engineering challenges and innovating new solutions. * Shape the future of material handling by building a sustainable product pipeline, aligning research and development efforts with the overall New Product Development plan. * Guide your team through all stages of product development—from ideation to prototyping, testing, and commercialization—ensuring that each project delivers value and meets the highest standards. * Cultivate a culture of innovation and intellectual property development, ensuring that Raymond remains a leader in the field. * Collaborate with external partners to integrate cutting-edge technologies and solutions into our products. * Build and mentor a world-class engineering team, attracting top talent and providing continuous professional growth opportunities. * Drive cross-functional collaboration with multiple teams to tackle complex problems, providing direction and ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, and business leaders. * Stay ahead of emerging trends in automation, robotics, and IoT, positioning Raymond at the forefront of new technology developments in adjacent industries like automotive. About you: * Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering. * 12+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in technical management. * Proven success in leading research and development initiatives that result in innovative product introductions. * Experience managing complex projects with multiple dependencies and stakeholders. * Deep knowledge of research, development, and design methodologies. * A track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and delivering successful solutions. * Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a focus on building high-performing teams. * Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with an ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights. * A passion for driving continuous improvement and delivering excellence in everything you do. It would be great if you had: * Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related field. * Experience with design, development, and manufacturing of automation systems, AGVs, advanced systems integration, telematics, and/or energy storage. About the total compensation package: Salary - $160,000 - $200,000 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience. Bonus Program – This position is eligible for the Manager Bonus Program. Relocation – This position may qualify for relocation.
