Cath/EP Lab Nurse Manager - Springfield Regional Medical Center
Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position :
Direct responsibility for the daily operations of the Heart & Vascular Center Departments to include Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Unit, Stress Lab, EKG/Holter. Functions include employee engagement, staff rounding, evaluations, coaching (discipline), staff education as pertains to specific departments. Reviews and monitors incident reports. Monitors customer service reports. Updates policies and procedures. Maintains appropriate staffing levels, assuring equipment and procedures are compliant and services are charged appropriately. Plans for and budgets for capital equipment, supplies and staffing. Interactions/meetings with cardiologists, CV surgeons, electrophysiologists, anesthesiology, and other medical staff.
Essential Job Functions:
Manages staff, supervisors and team leadersAssures compliance with all governing bodies such as The Joint Commission, IAC, ACR, ODH and NRCWorks directly with Medical Directors to collaborate on protocols, policies, and proceduresDevelops and manages operating budget for all reporting departmentsEvaluates and recommends capital equipment for all reporting departmentsDevelops professional relationships with medical directors of reporting departmentsMonitors productivity of all reporting departmentsSelection of new staff for reporting departmentsPatient care in scope of licenseThis document is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job. Required Minimum Education: 4 year/ Bachelors Degree Specialty/Major: Nursing
Licensing/ Certifications:
Licensure/Certification Required: RN, BSN, ACLS, BLS
