Required Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Five (5) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements One (1) years’ experience supervising (e.g., managing, evaluating the performance of others) Preferred Qualifications At least one (1) year’s working experience in higher education related to the Essential Performance Requirements At least one (1) year’s working experience with project management At least one (1) written artifact that demonstrates ability to conduct interviews and write engaging, easily understood content Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of video production Knowledge of Associated Press Style for news articles Skilled in copy editing and proofreading Skilled in research and organization Skilled in anticipating and meeting communications needs Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication Skilled in using computerized applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, data base, graphic design and photo editing software Ability to conduct interviews and write engaging, easily understood content Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Location District Department DT Marketing & Public Relations Job Summary Reporting to the Executive Director of Communications, Public Relations and Marketing, the Manager of Communications develops and maintains project plans and project timelines for communications and marketing programs and initiatives across the College, and ensures timelines are followed for all Communications, Public Relations and Marketing jobs, including those integrated with Creative Strategy, Digital Strategy and Video Support Services. The Manager of Communications also contributes to the Communications, PR and Marketing team as a researcher, writer and event coordinator as project demand necessitates. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Essential Performance Requirements* Works with the Executive Director of Communications, Public Relations and Marketing to implement, maintain and evaluate a comprehensive strategic, creative and innovative communications plan to be carried out through print and digital platforms Develops and maintains CPRM communications and marketing project plans and timelines; manages processes Develops, updates, and maintains a communications/public relations/marketing calendar of relevant College events Serves as a liaison for Collegewide communications efforts and campaigns Manages cross-College communications teams for special projects Provides copy editing and design support Provides photography support, including editing, tagging, and archiving of images Researches, writes, and edits news releases, articles, speeches, program brochures, and other marketing collateral Provides support for media inquiries and interviews Provides support for promotional events and coordinates fulfillment efforts for College sponsorships and partnershipsService Excellence Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
