Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, the Manager of Development Programs and Initiatives will assume Reunion programming, including but not limited to overseeing all Development-related volunteer activities, such as recruitment and training, and event planning and execution. Additionally, the role will assist in expanding a comprehensive fundraising program through the lens of stewardship, managing integrated fundraising strategies – those for immediate-use and flexible financial support. The Manager of Development Programs and Initiatives will execute everyday Reunion fundraising programmatic efforts. Further, the Manager of Development Programs and Initiatives will serve as the Development Team’s primary administrative liaison to the Law School’s academic centers and institutes. The role will standardize and manage such items as invoicing, contract and gift documentation completion, gift tracking, etc. The role will also help spearhead departmental events, including the annual all-staff retreat, with the goal of articulating departmental values and bolstering morale. Finally, the role will ensure the standardization of onboarding and training of Development staff, including the maintenance of the Development Handbook.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years 4-6 years’ relevant experience - transferable experience is welcomed! Experience in fundraising administration preferred.

Preferred Experience:
5+ years Administrative programmatic fundraising experience at a college or university.

Excellent interpersonal, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to make an engagement case for NYU Law. Ability to take initiative and collaborate with others. Unfaltering sense of integrity and values. Unteachable traits, including grit, perseverance, resilience, are crucial in addition to candidate’s capacity for attention to detail.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) and instant messaging platforms/software, such as Slack or Microsoft Teams.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $80,300.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
