Manager of Disbursements
Overview Pacific Retirement Services is a non-profit senior living provider based out of Medford, Oregon. What you’ll be doing: You will be responsible for overseeing the financial processes related to payroll and accounts payable. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, maintains compliance with relevant regulations and reporting requirements, and leads a team that executes payroll and AP disbursement activities. You will also collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders. Work Arrangement: Fully in-person for the first 6 months Option to transition to hybrid schedule after 6 months: 3 days in-person, 2 days remote. Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 / annually DOE How you’ll do it: Lead, mentor, and train a team of disbursement professionals, ensuring performance meets organizational standards while assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing constructive feedback. Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and local regulation regarding reporting, payments, withholding, and other financial obligations. Supervise and manage all disbursement processes, including vendor payments, payroll, employee reimbursements, and other liabilities, ensuring accurate and timely execution in compliance with company policies and regulations. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through workflow optimization and automation tools while maintaining and updating policies and procedures to align with best practices and regulatory changes. Oversee retirement plan audits, including benefit eligibility, vesting schedules, profit-sharing calculations, and liaising with the Plan Administrator, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Collaborate with accounting, HR, and IT teams to maintain secure and efficient disbursement systems, resolve payment disputes, and ensure the integrity of financial operations and systems. About you: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, is required. Master's degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred. Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial management including accounting, payroll, and accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred. Ability to analyze financial data, manage disbursement processes, and apply strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, ADP or other payroll systems), and experience with automation tools or process improvement initiatives.
