Role and Responsibilities
The position will be responsible for the supervision and documentation of financial reporting and analysis. This role will participate in 3-6 month rolling forecasting, month-end closing, and various ad-hoc financial and accounting duties. This role will also assist in non-trade inter-company transactions. Leads/supervises 1-2 junior level Finance professionals, typically without budget or hire/fire authority. Focuses on coaching, coordination and delegation of operational work responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned. In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:
Perform 3-9 month business forecasts, which includes comprehensive forecast of mobile devices’ sales quantities, whole sale prices, COGSs, and overhead expenses as well as of business environment changes to provide better financial visibility to management Perform month-end closing from a managerial standpoint, using SAP Controlling (CO) module while closely monitoring revenue/COGS recognition and expense allocation of various profit segments and cost centers.Prepare and provide various financial reports both regularly and as needed to managementCoordinate monthly inter-company transaction activities and follow-up requests to maintain a proper level of margin for HQ Support DivisionPerform other finance or administrative support projects and tasks assigned by financial management (i.e. royalty calculation, litigation-related financial data supports, and etc.)Background/Experience to qualify for this position, the following minimal background and skill levels are required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field and 5 – 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered.Strong business acumen; understanding commercial terms and potential impact and risk across business unitsExcellent communication skillsBilingual in English and KoreanAbility to work across departments to resolve urgent issuesExperience in business process review and analysis, including financial and operational analysis and auditsProficient with Excel.
