Your tasks
Reporting to the Director of HSE & Quality, develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations Set up and Audit and Inspection program to observe possible unsafe conditions Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics Manage and coach, Site Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors Audits, training and support of construction project startups on site with site safety officers.
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree, Health, Safety and Environment or equivalent work experience. Must be able to communicate in French Fluent in English mandatory Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communication skills Must possess the ability to meet and interface with customers and have the capacity to work to resolve issues and accomplish tasks between internal and external customers.
