Manager of Product Costing
Manages and maintains pre-cost and production costing for costing department, in a support function of multiple product divisions (i.e.: Athletic, Casual, Performance, etc.). Works closely with Merchandisers/Technicians/Product Managers/Factories to develop production costing that meets target division margins and meets company requirements. Work closely with Asia Costing to support the entire product development pre-cost and production costing process.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS-

Communicate with factories the direction on costing, ensure factory partners understand cost structure needed to stay competitive in the market.Become point person in specific product division(s) for material costing, tooling/amortization costs, HTS/duty codes, sourcing questions, cost comparisons to existing styles, cost component breakdown (CCB) analysis, etc.Skilled/experienced in IMU/margin calculations and able to calculate target FOB to hit specific margin requirements (based on provided Wholesale, Duty, Target Margin, Freight).Able to analyze and digest material % breakdowns, FOB’s, country of origin, construction types (lace-up, slip-on, etc.) to narrow down duty rates for specific shoes.Understand LOP and how to calculate; form relationships and comparisons of LOP across different footwear types and across our different factories (core factories vs. agent factories).Footwear product costing knowledge related to upper costs, lining costs, bottom costs:Upper material usageBasic upper material costs (commodity leather, meshes, engineered knits/meshes)Bottom Costs (EVA, RB, TPU part costs)Communicate with Product Manager/Merchandiser the cost to ensure setting a right target wholesale, while acting as a bridge to factory.Works closely with Designer/Materials & Colorists/Technicians to develop cost effective bottoms/uppers and communicate suggestions and/or solutions to drive efficient development and increase IMU.Manage Daily Production Cost confirmation.Assists Product Manager/Merchandiser on duty question and Duty Engineering. Work closely and lead Asia team to maintain System’s FOB and Pre-cost.Work closely and lead Asia Team / Factory to input development Costing, obtain Cost Break Down if needed.Work closely and lead Asia Costing Manager/Analyst to study/digest new process cost at factory level.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES-

Monitor Raw Material Price Trend.Monitor Exchange Rate.Assist special project if needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS-

Ability to multi-task.Excellent communicator and team player.Great Negotiator/Compromiser.Manage/generate margin reports, analysis, ad hoc Excel.Able to analyze complex margin reports, cost component breakdowns, materialization breakdowns, production pair reports.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-

Education: Degree Preferred or equivalent work experience.5+ years of experience in footwear industry; preferred development and/or costing experience.Computer Applications, Excel skill is mandatory.

The pay range for this position is $80,000-$100,000.
