Leads a SCM organization, defines and implements SCM strategy, standards and guidelines in area of responsibility (both Procurement and Supply Chain/Logistics functions).

The Manager of Production Planning for External Manufacturing is responsible for leading a team to develop, modify, and orchestrate efficient supply planning for externally manufactured finished goods across 80 suppliers.  This global role reports into the Sr. Director of CLS External Production Planning.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the production plans and order management processes of externally supplied finished goods in adherence to the company’s budget and deadlines.Partner with supplier’s operations, including but not limited to manufacturing, supply chain management, capacity utilization, productivity, continuous improvement, obsolescence management, cost controls, and contract management.Evaluate demand plans, finished goods inventory levels, and production capacity to formulate optimized production schedules. Efficiently manage purchase orders, ensuring timely execution and adherence to quality standards.Proactively identify and escalate risks to supplier production plans, collaborating with production, engineering, and other relevant teams to drive swift resolutions. Coordinate and report weekly Open Overdue Orders to Supply Chain Management leaders.Responsible for On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) generation and monitoring.Support improvement projects and initiatives partnering with Finance, Engineering and Procurement.Foster a continuous improvement culture, driving the development and support of innovative and effective cost reduction programs.Provides leadership, mentorship and clear priorities while creating a culture of trust and collaboration.Establish adherence to training timelines for direct reports and grow team via development plans.

Minimum Education or Equivalent Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred with a focus on supply chain management, procurement, or operations management preferred.8+ years minimum experience in an operational leadership position in a manufacturing environment within medical devices and/or a regulated manufacturing environmentProven experience in manufacturing production planning with in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and buying / planning. Proven track record of managing employees, building a high-performance supply organization, and ensuring delivery of high-quality products on time and on budget.Strong analytical and forecasting skills, including proficiency in tools such as SAP, Excel, and Power BI

Requirements to have for success in this role:

Excellent communication skills are required, both written and verbal.Ability to concisely summarize complex information is required.Must be able to travel up to 25%, more if business needs dictate.Develop and maintain working relationships with people inside and outside the company, including customers, vendors, associations, etc.This job is remote, with up to 25% business travel as needed.

The pay range for this is $106,800 - $145,60000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The base pay range for this position is

Min $106,800 - Max $160,100
