Manager of Residential Services

 

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide oversight and continuity of care for each resident living in home. 

 

Reports To:  Director of Home and Community Based Services

 

Duties: Primary focus is on the needs and services of all residents in each home including but not limited to:

Requesting and reviewing Functional and Comprehensive Functional Assessments of all residents.  Actively participate on all planning teams and attend meetings as scheduled.  Developing Individual Service Plans to meet the needs of each resident within the scope Section 21, Section 97 and Licensing Regulations. Developing plans when necessary to support individual with behavioral challenges within regulation Work with clinical staff when necessary Seek approval process of the Review Committee Maintain and report on behavioral data as necessary  Ensure that plans are up to date and entered into Therapy by each effective date.  Provides oversight and direction of all medical/psychiatric needs of each resident, by being in contact with healthcare providers and attending all major medical appointments.  Ensure that all Medication Administration Records (MARs) are current and per physician’s orders using Therap.  Approve all MARs  Review all incident reports and Reportable Events Enter Reportable Events into EIS Attend staff meetings with a focus on services of each individual and expected/desired outcomes of goal/plan.  Provide coaching and mentoring to direct support staff regarding the delivery of services, including frequency and interventions.  Provide coaching and mentoring to Residential Program Coordinators to ensure growth in all areas Maintain all section 21 approvals through the Kepro portal. Submit Billing as dictated by home type. Provide on call support

 

Supervisor: The Residential Services Manager provides direct supervision to: Residential Services Coordinators and In Home Support Coordinator

 

Administratively supervise all direct reports to ensure their compliance with their job responsibly and accountability.  Provide all direct reports with monthly supervisions and annual evaluations and corrective actions when necessary. Hold monthly staff meetings and participate in monthly team meetings. Oversight of staff development opportunities.  Interview, choose, and orient direct reports and provide a 90-day evaluation upon hire. 

 

General:

Comply with all federal, state and local regulations as regards services for persons with developmental or intellectual disabilities or autism, including rights of recipients and mandatory reporting. Comply with Office of Aging and Disability Services and Department of Human Services regulations. Demonstrate confidentiality and respect to the lives of those we support Provide emergency coverage in residential homes or community support programs as needed           Must comply with State of Maine Immunization Requirements for Healthcare Workers 10-144 CODE OF MAINE RULES CHAPTER 264 Participate as a member of the Team 

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years related experience. Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience DSP and CRMA certification or become certified within 90 days Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation (up to date inspection, registration and insurance meeting Maine state requirements) to be available for use during work hours.
