Position Purpose
Responsible for the daily clinical management of the Department of Respiratory Care. Assures for the quality and quantity of clinical services provided to both in and outpatients of all ages. Provide a structure to support orientation and training related to Respiratory Care to RT staff as well as other patient care providers.
What you will do
Ensure the high quality of clinical services provided by the Respiratory Care Department to patients of all age groups through direct observation, involvement in patient rounds, or participation in multidisciplinary quality improvement committees
Implement staffing plans including hiring, training, and scheduling for all subordinate staff within the Department of Respiratory Care
Lead and oversees supervisors with the annual review of all clinical policies and procedures for relevance and/or need for revision
Review new equipment and supplies with vendors and recommends need for change based on equipment quality or price competitiveness
Conduct rounds with respiratory care staff in each critical care area in an effort to assess patient care plan with regard to respiratory care services
Minimum Qualifications
Degree and state licensure in Respiratory Care preferred
RN nurse management and/or any clinical operations management experience
Thorough clinical knowledge of best practice care planning
