Manager of Retail - Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

Job Summary: This individual will develop and promote an entrepreneurial spirit with the team embracing recommendations targeting increased sales, profits and guest service and satisfaction, while continually looking for operating efficiencies and implementing effective measures to improve results. 

 

Activities include:

Direct and oversee all retail store, photo, and lessee operations to maximize sales and profits.  Developing, implementing and maintaining a positive team environment that fosters a high performance team culture.  Develop and maintain financial budgets and annual business plans and prepare and present monthly forecasts as required.  Develop, execute and coordinate retail/games CAPEX, from concept through completion, on-budget and on-time.  Direct the execution of the visual merchandising, product displays and POS marketing efforts.  Managing the physical inventory of the departments and adhering to Six Flags and generally accepted inventory procedures and reporting.  Assure profitability of department by closely monitoring sales, cost of goods, inventory, labor.  Develop and promote an entrepreneurial spirit by making recommendations targeting increased sales, profits and Guest service and satisfaction.  Support overall vision of the In-park Services division and park.  Ensure all Federal, State, Local, and park regulations are being adhered to within areas of responsibility.  Support the company mantra; friendly, clean, fast and safe service.  Serve as Park Duty manager as assigned.  All other duties as assigned. 

 

Skills and qualifications:

Entrepreneurial spirit with the functional expertise to follow through.  Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.  Must be professional, energetic, self-motivated, and desire to inspire others.  Experience supervising large teams and interfacing with all levels of management.  Strong teamwork skills and ability to work productively across various departments.  Budget planning experience and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.  Bachelor’s degree in management (or related field) or equivalent management experience in retail or theme park industry. Minimum 5 years merchandise / retail experience, including supervision / management, or related experience. Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
