Manager of Software Engineering
**As our Manager of Software Engineering, you will help drive the development and maintenance of our suite of SaaS healthcare applications and services.** **Every day you will:** Design and develop software solutions with an engineering mindset. Mentor and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and support. **To thrive in this role you must:** + Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality enterprise software on schedule. + Exhibit the ability to drive difficult projects through to completion. + Thrive in a collaborative environment and be comfortable working with others and giving and receiving feedback. **Here’s what you will experience working as a Manager of Software Engineering:** + A high-growth, high-innovation company revolutionizing the healthcare market. + A collaborative and supportive team environment. + Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and development practices. + **Educational and Experience Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience. + 6+ years of experience delivering web-based applications and services. + **Technical Expertise:** + Understanding of object-oriented principles in languages such as C#, C++, and Java. + Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React. + Expertise in high-level programming languages. + **Technological Proficiency:** + Experience with message or data streaming-based application development using technologies like JMS, Azure Messaging Services, Apache Kafka, or Amazon MQ. + Knowledge of web services standards and related technologies (XML, XSD, SOAP, JSON, REST). + **Database and Development Methodologies:** + Experience with relational and non-relational database technologies (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, HBase) and concepts like ACID and CAP theorem. + Understanding of modern software development methodologies including version control, unit testing, and continuous integration & deployment. + **Additional Skills:** + Agile development experience. + Strong communication and debugging skills. + Knowledge and experience with automated test tools and techniques. + Some experience utilizing project management skills and best practices. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with Cloud providers and services such as Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure. + Experience with microservices architectures and containerization using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Service Fabric. + PMP Certification or 3+ years utilizing project management best practices. + Experience leading a team. + Strong understanding of cloud architecture. + Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, EDI X12. + Knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle, EMRs, and practice management systems. For this US-based position, the base pay range is $92,143.00 - $148,792.00 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
