Hiring Manager: Katie EstabrookLocation: Boston EF Educational Tours and Explore America seeks a dynamic talent optimization leader who is a strong executor and passionate about accelerating professional growth to join our team as a Manager of Talent Management. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary qualifications to effectively drive professional growth and career development initiatives, as well as the personal skills required to be an effective leader and communicator. This position will be responsible for guiding leaders through the employee life cycle, including performance management, reviews, professional learning, and building strong team cultures. The Manager of Talent Management will have ownership of the leadership development for a portfolio of over 300 staff members across Student Tours. This role will be responsible for elevating processes to improve People practices throughout the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate has demonstrated success leading diverse teams and coaching people managers to achieve meaningful business results, extensive experience managing complex processes across multiple stakeholders, and the ability to scale systems to deliver on a strategic vision. What you’ll do Build strong network of trusted relationships across a geographically diverse organization, leveraging exceptional collaborative skills to get the job done Support people managers through coaching conversations around talent optimization, performance plan, career moves and exits, and team culture Proactively build relationships with people managers to understand the context, pain points, opportunities, and strengths on the teams you support Consult leaders to support escalated talent issues, communication plans for messaging significant changes, and navigating team structure and improving team dynamics with a commitment to confidentiality Manage performance review and promotion process, including coaching managers on best practices, facilitating high-impact performance conversations, and maintaining and strategically using performance-related data to develop talent mobility and succession plans Create and implement tools and programs to enable effective development across areas such as: Career Development, Functional Development, Performance Management, Coaching, Management Skills Partner with leadership stakeholders across our Boston, Denver, and Austin offices, as well as other members of the Employee Development team to assess needs and provide content for learning topics, resources, and solutions Partner with Employee Development colleagues and leverage external resources to understand trends in the industry and drive change as needed within the departments to meet the needs of current and future staff Understand staff and team trends and develop insights from relevant analytics so that we can evaluate and improve professional development, career growth, and retention strategies Who You Are: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a people manager and supporting people managers through team leadership, staff coaching, etc. Experience identifying opportunities to drive efficiency and optimize processes in pursuit of driving professional growth for staff Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and drive action across different levels of an organization Outstanding communication and presentation skills Highly detail-oriented and organized with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Why you’ll love working here:
