Job Description: Manager – Office of CIO at Micron IT

Role Overview: The Manager – Office of CIO at Micron IT will be responsible for leading and executing global IT initiatives, managing the Center of Excellence (COE) and supporting the IT strategy. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to achieve the organization's goals. This role involves overseeing key projects, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment between IT initiatives and business objectives.  This role also involves people management responsibilities, ensuring the growth and development of the team and project/program management for global initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Global IT Initiatives: Lead and manage global IT projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall IT strategy.Center of Excellence (COE): Establish, run, and mature the COE, focusing on best practices and continuous improvement.Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing IT team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members in matrix organizations.Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the IT leadership to develop and implement IT strategies that align with the organization's objectives. Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities. Develop and maintain a roadmap for IT initiatives, support smooth execution aligning with business goals.Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team and initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units, facilitating communication and collaboration. Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements and translate them into actionable IT solutions. Present project updates and strategic plans to senior leadership and other stakeholders.Metrics and Performance Management: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of IT initiatives and projects. Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization. Report on IT performance to senior leadership and recommend actions to drive continuous improvement.Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.IT Strategy: Support the TBMO Org in implementing IT strategies that drive business growth and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Center of Excellence: Demonstrated experience in establishing and running a COE.IT Strategy: Proven experience in developing and executing IT strategies.Operational Excellence: Proven ability to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement for enhanced operational efficiency and effectiveness.Global Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to manage and collaborate with stakeholders across different regions and cultures.People Management: Excellent people management skills, with a track record of leading and developing teams. Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to align IT initiatives with business objectives.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Project ManagementDesirable Skills:Exposure to User Experience COEProcess ManagementVendor ManagementOperations Management

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
