Manager Operations

Robinson is seeking a **Manager Operations GF (Global Forwarding)** to lead and develop a high-performing team, drive operational excellence, and ensure seamless execution of global forwarding processes. You will have the opportunity to coach, motivate, and inspire a team to achieve organizational goals, all while driving innovation and delivering exceptional customer service. **Responsibilities** Leadership and Talent Management: + Define employee roles, accountabilities, and performance expectations to ensure operational objectives are met. + Recruit, onboard, and continuously develop top talent, creating opportunities for growth and advancement. + Provide coaching and regular feedback, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. + Communicate organizational initiatives clearly to ensure alignment and understanding. + Foster a trusting, inclusive, and collaborative environment by encouraging open communication and employee feedback. + Manage performance reviews, annual merit, and equity programs to align compensation with results. Business and Operational Leadership: + Oversee day-to-day operational activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and service standards. + Evaluate and improve processes for efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging technology and best practices. + Monitor productivity, quality, and key performance indicators, adjusting resources as needed to meet targets. + Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and external regulations. + Serve as a subject matter expert on global forwarding operations, providing support for business development and customer initiatives. + Lead operational strategies, troubleshooting challenges, and implementing process improvements. + Maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction. + Drive operational excellence by utilizing methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. Collaboration and Communication: + Act as a primary liaison between operations, customers, and other internal teams. + Communicate effectively with internal and external partners to align on objectives, expectations, and outcomes. + Participate in customer-facing initiatives, including business reviews and continuous improvement efforts. + Share insights, feedback, and suggestions with leadership to improve operational performance and service delivery. Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to team and country-specific requirements. **Required Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED equivalent. + Minimum 5 years of Global Forwarding operations experience. + Minimum 2 years of experience leading and managing teams. + Ability to travel as needed, depending on the location of the position. **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. + Solid knowledge of C.H. Robinson’s services and operational processes. + Experience in operational excellence methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, CSCP). + Proficiency in financial and operational performance metrics. + Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage a team. + Proven leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, with a collaborative and adaptive approach. + Demonstrated success in process improvement, change management, and conflict resolution. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. + Knowledge of emerging technology and trends in logistics. + Values a diverse and inclusive work environment **Why Join C.H.
