Manager Operations Process

Position Purpose:

The Manager of Data Analytics, Labor, will lead and develop a team of associates responsible for understanding labor impacts on the overall store experience.  This role will drive effective analytical insights by leveraging complex datasets and data visualization to support conclusions and improve performance.  This position collaborates cross functionally within Store Operations, Finance and other areas, and is responsible for supporting the largest controllable expense within Home Depot. 

Key Responsibilities:

40% - Create a strategic vision for future labor usage, models and forecasting - Provide strategic support for enterprise goals and objectives to ensure solutions that improve labor usage. Lead, develop and direct work for a team of Analysts and Sr. Analysts, providing clear direction and support for team members to navigate ambiguity while ensuring analytical output and process improvement. Drive strategic vision for understanding future labor usage and analytical capabilities. Support Enterprise strategic goals, objectives, and projects.  20% - Ensure better education of business impacts and performance drivers - Support end users and business partners with problem resolution and insight into business trends. Design, develop and implement analytical tools that support data visualization, enhanced reporting and improved decision making.40% - Improve Labor and business decisions that drive productivity in stores - Identify new and different ways of providing analytical output and process improvements. Identify innovative ways of providing analytical support to client group and leaders.
 

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

This Position typically reports to the Sr Manager of Data AnalyticsThis Position has up to 3-5 Direct Reports

Travel Requirements:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
 

Physical Requirements:

Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
 

Working Conditions:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or olderMust be legally permitted to work in the United States
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteWorking knowledge of TableauWorking knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teamsAbility to develop and apply advanced mathematical/statistical techniquesAbility to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentationAbility to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiencesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPrevious experience with Workforce Management and/or Payroll. 3 years of retail experience or process management in a related area. 
 

Minimum Education:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
