Manager-Patient Support

The Patient Support Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operations of patient support staff to ensure the highest quality of care and service for patients. This role provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring for staff while overseeing day-to-day activities, monitoring patient well-being, and ensuring all department functions align with the organization’s mission and goals.

Essential Functions: Staff Coordination: Manage and coordinate the work and activities of assigned staff, setting performance expectations and ensuring adherence to protocols. Staff Development: Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, mentoring, and training to foster professional growth and ensure high performance. Emergency Management: Respond to and manage emergencies with efficiency and care. Staff Management: Oversee hiring, development, training, and performance management to ensure effective and efficient operations. Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with medical staff, leadership, and other departments to promote interdepartmental collaboration. Operational Support: Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining information files, processing paperwork, and conducting fiscal operations (budgeting and reporting). Activity Reporting: Prepare regular reports on the status and implementation of programs, services, and quality initiatives. Patient Support: Assist with daily living activities, administer basic healthcare or treatments, and participate in therapeutic or recreational group activities as needed. Admissions & Discharges: Oversee the admitting and discharging process for patients. Well-Being Monitoring: Monitor patient’s physical and emotional well-being, reporting any unusual behavior or conditions to appropriate staff. Therapeutic Sessions: Lead or co-lead individual or group sessions as part of therapeutic or recreational procedures. Transportation: Coordinate or provide patient transportation as needed, potentially operating facility motor vehicles. Patient-Centered Care: Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude. Work to resolve patient complaints and ensure patient safety at all times. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education/Experience/Skills Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a human services field preferred. Minimum of 1+ years as a Patient Support staff member at the facility, plus 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in the healthcare or human services field. Licenses/Certifications: CPR and verbal de-escalation certification required (training provided upon hire). Valid driver’s license required if patient transportation is a key function.

 

Must be 21 years or older and clear driving record is required.  

Compensation for roles at Montecatini varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Montecatini provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California as set forth below.
