Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, this position is responsible for the overall management of all pharmacy clinical services. Facilitates the development, implementation and maintenance of processes that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies. Ensures the functions of the department are consistent with the policies and procedures, regulatory agencies, Board of Pharmacy, and federal and state laws. Supports, coordinates and supervises activities that support the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee. Assists in the maintenance of information systems within the pharmacy. Develops standard of work performance, orientation and training, and ongoing competencies for staff.
Requirements:
1. Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy is required.
2. Completion of a PGY1 and/or PGY2 Pharmacy Residency, or at least six (6) years of experience as a Clinical Pharmacist in an acute care setting is required.
3. Two (2) years of program lead, supervisory, management experience is preferred.
4. Current licensure as a Pharmacist in the State of California is required.
5. Board Certification in a clinically-based pharmacy specialty is required.
6. An Administrative degree (MBA, MHA, or MPH, etc.) with a concentration in Healthcare is preferred.
Pay Range: $79.99 - $119.99
