Summary
The Practice Manager oversees operations within practices. They provide leadership and work with colleagues by providing supervision and direction around practice operations as well as instilling the mission, vision, and values of the areas they lead. Ensures patient access, financial performance, efficient operations, effective growth, colleague development, and optimal patient experience takes place.
Job DutiesEnsures that all relevant local, state, and federal guidelines as well as LVHN policies and training are maintained by the practices including the LVHN Compliance Policy. Communicates financial information to direct reports along with triad leaders and Administration. Communicates visit and volume information, in conjunction with, or in absence of practice lead to all physicians and APC’s within the practice. Assumes responsibility for financial performance including supporting the budget development processes, budget expense monitoring, net patient revenue tracking, expense management, variance inquiry and explanation, and labor management. Monitors and responds to trends in patient experience. Performs service recovery duties for appropriate issues using sound judgment. Maintains working knowledge of quality efforts within areas of responsibility and supports high quality patient centered care including the implementation of quality initiatives where appropriate. Facilitates performance management of all reports including hiring, counseling and discipline, performance evaluation, professional development, retention, and training. Addresses performance issues promptly, fairly, and appropriately using sound judgment in compliance with organizational policy and applicable laws and regulations. Encourages a culture of professional development and serves as a role-model for the triad leaders in areas of responsibility.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an associate's degree with previous physician practice management experience is required. 2 years of relevant experience. Experience in healthcare required. Supervisory experience directing other's work required. Ability to lead and coach staff while simultaneously functioning as member of a team. Ability to initiate, accept, and adapt to change. Excellent computer skills including electronic medical record (EMR) and Microsoft Office suite. Demonstrated strong leadership, communication skills, and mature emotional intelligence. Demonstrated financial skills including budget, budget variance analysis, and action plans. Demonstrated ability to partner with stakeholders to achieve goals. Direct knowledge of practice management system or equivalent analytics software experience.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or related field. Experience in a physician office practice highly preferred.
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
