You'll be reporting to Thomas Hill, who is not only your manager but also an integral part of the organization. Your Role Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Drive the design and development of infrastructure solutions that align with customer needs and maintain standards of scalability, performance, and reliability. Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to define and execute a product roadmap that addresses market trends and customer feedback. Oversee the complete product development cycle, ensuring quality and usability from design to release. Implement and uphold best practices in software development, including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration. Stay abreast of industry trends to inform technical strategy and solve complex, large-scale problems within multi-hardware environments. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across Nutanix to integrate insights from engineering, product management, and customer success into development cycles. Establish clear first-year objectives, including scaling the engineering team, launching key product features, and enhancing overall product quality and performance. What You Will Bring 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on cloud-native infrastructure and data management platforms. Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring engineering teams (8-10 engineers). Hands-on expertise in Python, Golang, and PostgreSQL, with a keen understanding of hardware certification processes. Strong knowledge of hardware-agnostic solutions and experience delivering software across diverse infrastructure types. Proficiency in Agile development practices and familiarity with project management tools and continuous delivery pipelines. Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with on-premise systems. Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, disaster recovery technologies, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments. Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
