About the role

 

OceanaGold are seeking a suitably experienced and motivated Processing Manager

This is a great opportunity to leverage from your extensive operational experience in process plant operations and optimisation delivering production requirements, to lead an experienced and highly skilled team in delivery of improvement initiatives that improve safety and maximize value for the business.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

 

Provide leadership and guidance to a specialist team engaged with processing plant operations to:Strengthen the safe work culture through actively leading and supporting Didipio’s safe systems of work.Safely deliver production targetsCollaborate  closely with the Asset Maintenance Manager in the planning and execution of maintenance activities.Work closely with other operational leaders to develop and execute annual and Life of Mine plans for the business.Evaluate current and potential processing methods and develop innovative and cost-effective operating methodologies to improve and sustain optimum productionResponsible for managing all aspects of the Processing team, including safety,  performance outcomes, workflow management, reviewing and overseeing tasks, staff administration and professional development, consistent with technical principles and in an environment that is focused on integration, performance, and continuous improvement.Actively work with the management team and contribute to overall organizational development and implementation of strategies, priorities and schedules.Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Asset President – Didipio Operations and other internal and external parties.

 

QualificationsDegree in Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field highly desirable.>10 years experience in mining operations, process operations and optimisation, and team leadership. Proven experience in an operational leadership roleBehaviour consistent with OceanaGold Corp. Values and the OceanaGold WayKnowledge in mining processes, process engineering, equipment and technology, safety and health regulations, environmental management, quality control and assurance, financial acumen, data analysis and optimization, regulatory compliance, leadership and team management, and continuous improvement.Knowledge in best and sustainable practices in metal processingWell-developed technical writing and presentation skills.In-depth understanding of engineering processes and a track record of generating practical and innovative solutions.High levels of enthusiasm for the work with high-performance goals for self and teamStrong Commercial acumenDemonstrated ability to lead and work effectively within culturally diverse workforce setting.

Additional Information

Roster Schedule of 20 days work on an 11-hour work day and 10 days off.

With attractive package including accommodation if not from Didipio. With free meals onsite and free transportation up to determined point of hire.
