Role description & Responsibilities:
Manage the Energetics Value Stream at ABL (approximately 30 managers and 190 individual contributors)Responsible for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDEC) of energetic manufacturing on plants 1,2 and 3.Ensure a safe working environment is always maintainedProvide clear and concise written and verbal instructionInterface with program management, operations supervision and engineering to maintain production delivery schedulesInterface with maintenance and safety departments to issue routine and emergency maintenance permitsLead the Value Stream in continuous improvement activitiesMonitor and adjust manpower in support of Delivery requirementsDevelop direct reportsBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or management field with 8 years of experience OR a High school diploma with 12 years of demonstrated experience as a lead or a supervisor in a manufacturing setting.Experience working in an Energetics manufacturing environment Prior management experienceAbility to provide sound judgment to ensure overall safety, quality and efficiency of the department.Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and MS Office; experience using Solumina & CostpointEligible to obtain a DoD Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisiteFlexible with work assignments. Proactive safety attitude
This position falls under a Federal Explosives License issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for this location. Candidates hired into this role will be required to complete and submit an Employee Possessor Questionnaire to ATF for approval to be a possessor.
