The salary range for this role is:
$83,980.21 - $142,755.34Responsibilities:
Addresses and monitors a wide variety of quality related activity to support production, processing and packaging quality goals and to assure product certification objectives are achieved in process, in packaging, and in post processes handling of all product.
Implements and supports all necessary Quality Assurance/HAACP program development for Toppenish #122 and supports and trains production personnel in a variety of GMP and HAACP requirements, Q.A. related procedures (Fill/Net visual inspect etc.), Sanitation, and as needed.Directs product grading activities to include plant audit, daily samples, and other sampling as required and supports necessary troubleshooting activity necessary to address unexpected quality problems and to develop resolution options.Directs Quality Supervisor and staff resulting in the achievement of QA goals. Includes supporting and overseeing customer specific requirements.Issues and/or reviews all quality holds and conducts subsequent follow up relative to Products Disposition (PDR’s) processes and procedures. Takes the lead in any and all recall activities involving local products.Develops and implements programs to maximize safety and sanitation within the plant consistent with meeting or exceeding Del Monte, state and federal guidelines.Oversees local and corporate and facility quality certification audits to include cook records, and a variety of production and packaging records, and facility sanitation and pest control. In addition serves as the primary contact with respect to FDA and WSDA inspections.Serves as key liaison to Corporate and Regional quality contacts as we as Technical Services contacts with respect to Quality Assurance issues.Directs Quality Assurance program development, support and training for production personnel in a variety of areas.Supports and maintains Quality Assurance related computer/software such as Fill/Net, Seam Test, QA records retention, etc.Maintains effective employee relations and employee development programs to ensure and improve employee motivation and productivity, maximize talent use, provide for sufficient backup and ensure equal employment and contractual obligations as sustained.Provides effective, responsible liaison support in dealing with corporate, state, and federal visitors or inspectors.Actively supports all corporate proprietary programs, takes the lead in Safety for assigned areas of responsibility, and provides support to facility environmental compliance programs.Responsible for partnering with his/her manager in the establishment of an annual "development plan". Professional development requires the commitment of employees, managers and the resources available from the Company. Qualifications:
BA/BS In Quality Assurance, Food Processing, or equivalent degree and/or related experience.Minimum 3 (three) years of relevant experience. General knowledge of Food Processing, Safety, Quality Assurance, Sanitation, can seams and thermal processing Environmental, Budgeting and Cost Control, Organizational Management, Effective Communications, Labor Relations and Equal Employment.WE OFFER:
