Manager Quality Assurance

Role Purpose:

Establish and maintain the quality management system and procedures. Work with a third party to certify the organization to ISO 9001: 2015 other applicable standards. Ensure that the quality procedures are developed, updated and implemented. Ensure compliance with local and international standards and regulations. Evaluating the effectiveness of the existing system. Serving on committees responsible for developing and implementing strategies. Preparing reports about current and future trends. Work with outside consultants. Plan and conduct internal quality audits. Manage a team of auditors and plan internal and external audits, compliance, and projects. Ensure the availability of required QA software and analysis tools. Take appropriate corrective actions on identified problems. Identify potential sources of error and suggest ways to eliminate them. (Preventive Actions) Perform statistical analysis of KPI results and trend analysis from audit findings. Continuous process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) Reduce waste. Participate in the supplier selection process. This includes reviewing the documents. submitted by the suppliers and audit (if required). Review documents prepared and submitted by suppliers and contractors. Periodic evaluations of supplier’s performances. Identify departments and conduct training. Compile quality information needed for monthly reports and management review. Participate in meetings held at various levels within the organization. Attend conferences or seminars related to their field of expertise. Perform annual appraisals and performance reviews. Assist in departmental budgeting and yearly implementation planning.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Quality Assurance Manager in a reputed organization. Knowledge of Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Major projects. Excellent knowledge and experience of international standards, ISO 9001:2015 ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and for the construction industry. Good understanding of QMS and quality programs implementation. Experience in planning and participating quality audits and closure of NCR / observation / action items. Ability in analyzing information, reporting results, promoting process improvement, developing standards, etc. Ability to interact with all levels of corporate, project staff and management. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, writing and presentation skills. Extremely proficient Microsoft Office programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and email; computer literate in database applications. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, or a related field required. IRCA Lead Auditor ISO 9001Certified required. Charter Membership of recognized quality institute is a plus. Lean and Six Sigma training and/or certification will be a plus.
