We have an immediate need for a Manager Quality Engineering. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Manager, Quality and Mission Assurance. As Manager, you will lead a team of Mission Assurance Quality Engineering Analysts and support Raytheon ELCAN CORE methodologies and Operating systems by optimizing resources and improving efficiencies as we implement changes to support the growth at ELCAN. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN

Primary Responsibilities:

Share in the commitment towards a positive workplace cultureLead the compliance team who report to you while focusing on the core Raytheon ELCAN professional values of respect, trust, and team collaborationSupport Raytheon ELCAN CORE methodologies and Operating systems (KPI’s); People, Safety, Quality, Schedule and CostEvaluate and identify unique ways to improve the function (cost reductions, use of resources, policies/procedures); generating useful new ideas, approaches or techniquesCommunication to company stakeholders including supporting Tier and Production Priority meetings.Identify and mitigate risks associated with proposed changes affecting your team.Ensure that CORE standard operating procedures and processes are adhered toMaintain a structured work environment that benefits both the employees and peers, ensuring efficiency and productivity.Ensure that the Occupational Health and Safety Act is being followed and that management of change procedures are followedPractical application of the CORE continuous improvement processPlanning and coordinating of resources and activities within the team and other departments as requiredCoach the team to remain motivated even when faced with inevitable delays, setbacks and disruptions

Qualifications & Experience:

Completion of Ontario Secondary School DiplomaMinimum of 3 years of experience in quality management, quality assurance, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading quality initiatives in a manufacturing or operational environment.Experience with Quality systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO13485, or equivalent. Strong statistical and analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, capable of interpreting complex data sets and making informed decisions.Experience with hardware inspection and Ability to work with technical engineering specifications and drawings.Post-secondary diploma/degree in an applicable discipline considered an assetStrong leadership and motivational skillsHighly effective communication skills, with all levels of the organizationWillingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experienceMust have an excellent knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Candidate must be able to show evidence of self-motivation and possess an excellent work ethic

Raytheon ELCAN offers a competitive compensation package that includes incentive program, benefits, and pension plan.

This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian government’s Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program. In order to obtain the required security clearance, candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, have resided in Canada for a minimum of five consecutive years, and meet all other program requirements.  Job offers will be conditional upon candidates undergoing a successful security screening per the Controlled Goods Regulations and the Contract Security Program.
