Job Description The role has critical tasks ensuring RAN Optimization services are within global standards and best practices, Cost efficient services through RFP Technical management and RAN Flagship programs technical lead aligning Territory Squads on goals, processes and benefits.The roles holds 4 Major functions (1) RFP Technical lead for RAN Optimization services Optimization, Rigger, Driver and Interference handling service, (2) RAN Project Management (Harmonization, GFR, Cluster Optimization), (3) National Process and Guidelines lead on operational territory squad execution giving advisories, and (4) National Adhoc Activities RgPM lead such as Election, Enterprise projects and special client engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. RFP technical lead for RAN services which includes RFI, vendor selection, creation of SOC and technical requirement, POC(if needed) upto to technical evaluation and shortlisting.
2. Closed collaboration with the Procurement team on RFP for both technical and commercial considerations.
3. Part of a commercial team that would provide technical inputs on winning vendors and awarding strategy.
4. Lead on National Process and Guidelines such as blocked cell management, complaints handling, interference handling, event assurance process etc.
5. Conduct technical and process cascades and advisories to Territory squads on national guidelines and engineering principles.
6. National program execution and management lead on RAN flagship programs such as Harmonization, Network Modernization, Frequency refarming etc.
7. Lead to align and cascade to territory squad RAN Programs playbook, execution process including program benefits and target.
8. Collaborate with CXM on RAN Programs for customer management and would support creating customer handling template.
9. Lead and guide on planning on critical ad hoc activities such as Election and aligning territory squad on rgpm role on execution.
10. Special handling for direct engagement of Globe external customers such as AC Mobility.
Compliance to Standard Guidelines
Ensure that all RAN activities comply with the standard guideline from RSTP from the network down to the CPE
Ensure the team provides guidelines to Territory in reference to design, solutioning, investment framework, especially when solutioning between wireless or wired broadband, GFP campaign vs FWA
Budget and Resource Management
Develop and manage the CAPEX for RgPM scope, including cash flows, tracking of expenditures and maximizing existing resources such as Open PO and warehouse inventory (asset maximization)
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives such as co-investment with mobile, including low-cost solutions rev-share with other telco, cost benchmarking, and effective RFP processes. Explore different commercial models like OPEX models, CAPEX sharing, and others to optimize financial efficiency.
Experience with RFI (Request for Information) and RFP (Request for Proposal) processes.
Expertise in CapEx and OpEx management, budgeting, and cost optimization.
Leadership and Team Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network planning specialists and engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Set clear goals and objectives for the team, ensuring alignment with overall business and technology strategies.
Ensure continuous professional growth of team members through training programs, certifications, and exposure to the latest industry trends.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure necessary resources and support.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including within NTG, business, PEDG and OSMCX partners and executive leadership, to align network strategies with business objectives.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
Develop a disaster recovery / contingency plans to ensure network resilience in the face of unforeseen events.
Ensure the network is designed to maintain operations during and after a disaster, minimizing downtime and service disruption
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
Drive a culture of innovation within the network planning team, encouraging the exploration of new technologies such as 5G SA, 5G mmWave and methodologies from serviceability down to provisioning and fulfilment
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, incorporating best practices into network planning and management.
Automation and Process Improvement
Continuously evaluate and refine processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the quality of network planning and engineering processes, incorporating best practises and automation
Reporting and Communication:
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on network performance, capacity, and strategic initiatives.
Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
