Leads a team of recruiters to meet the Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH)’s staffing needs in alignment with organizational goals. Under the direction of the Employee Relations Recruitment & Experience Director, the Recruitment Manager leads, plans and executes initiatives within the full scope of sourcing, and recruiting, including recruitment marketing and pre-boarding functional areas. Focuses on developing strategic recruitment plans, improving hiring processes, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. Effectively collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, leverages data for decision-making, and creates a culture of ownership, empowerment, and efficiency.Under the direction of the Employee Relations & Recruitment Director for Northern Arizona Healthcare, the HR Manager is responsible for leading, planning, and executing initiatives within the full scope of onboarding and operations. The HR Manager will also assist with employee relations. This role will supervise the HR Assistant 2, HR Specialist and Recruitment Program Coordinators.
ResponsibilitiesPeople Management
* Leads, coaches, and mentors a team of recruiters to achieve hiring goals and build strong candidate pipelines.
*Hires, provides performance assessments and feedback and develops staff.
* Conducts timely performance reviews and provides ongoing feedback.
* Establishes and monitors individual and team goals and objectives.
* Consults and coaches recruiters on complex and nuanced candidate, offer, and requisition situations.
Recruitment Marketing Operations
*Manages relationships with external recruitment agencies, job boards, and other vendors to optimize recruitment resources.
*Coordinates and participates in career fairs, open houses, and local community events to enhance NAH’s visibility within the local healthcare talent market.
*Partners with the Director on the negotiating and structuring of various talent management contracts with recruitment industry vendors such as LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc.
* Works closely with Communications to ensure all recruitment marketing collateral is up to date and meets NAH’s branding standards.
*Works closely with the Communications department to develop and maintain social media campaigns and manage our online presence on platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
*Plans and executes targeted digital and print advertising campaigns (e.g. job boards, sponsored content, print ads) to reach passive and active healthcare talent.
*Recommends and designs candidate journey touchpoints that make potential hires feel informed, valued and excited about opportunities at NAH.
*Benchmarks recruitment marketing efforts against competitors and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
*Tracks and analyzes recruitment marketing metrics to determine the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
*Manages orders of branded give-away items for career and community events.
Recruitment Strategy & Operations
* Develops, implements, and manages recruitment strategies to meet the healthcare system’s staffing needs.
* Oversees the development of effective sourcing strategies, including outreach to local communities and schools, to attract top talent in a competitive healthcare market.
*Oversees coordination of full cycle recruitment process system-wide, including managing a requisition load.
* Conducts audits to ensure accurate requisition and offer management
*Maintains up-to-date knowledge of employment trends, labor laws, and recruitment best practices.
*Utilizes industry resources to identify trends and best practices, and makes recommendations based on these findings to determine recruitment and retention opportunities.
* Evaluates and communicates trends in recruitment and the job market. Assists in the preparation of recruitment plans, budgets, and strategies.
*Partners with department heads and hiring managers to understand staffing requirements, ensuring alignment with workforce planning and operational needs.
* Partners with the Director, HR Manager Programs Manager and HRBPs in the execution of annual employee engagement survey process and action planning.
* Partner with Director and Lead Recruiter on the pre-screen, evaluation, and interview coordination process of candidates.
*Collaborates with HR Manager, HRBPs, HR Program Manager, and various additional stakeholders and diversity teams to support the organization’s diversity, equity, and inclusion hiring objectives.
*Partners with Compensation to ensure the integrity of the wage and salary program in the recruitment and counseling processes. Assists with special projects as assigned.
* Partners with HR Manager Onboarding & Employee Relations and Program Manager People Experience on processes and procedures that impact the candidate and new hire experience.
Reporting & System Management
* Utilizes data analytics and recruitment metrics to track performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement in hiring practices.
* Runs standard and ad hoc weekly and monthly reports from ATS and vendor partner platforms for reports to leaders and senior leaders regarding the recruitment function.
* Leads the maintenance and implementation of various modules/updates/upgrades to talent management system utilized by NAH.
* Develops guidelines and documents standard practice related to recruitment processes and candidate pipeline management.
* Acts as liaison with outside partners for relocation assistance and is the first contact for questions related to exceptions for relocation assistance and escalates issues that may arise as appropriate.
Compliance & Safety
* Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; safely performs work; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also safely performing work.
• Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame and ensures compliance of direct reports promptly.
• Ensures compliance with all federal and state labor laws.
• Obtains references, conducts background checks, OIG checks, and verifies other credentials of candidates before extending an offer of employment on behalf of the organization.
• Ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid before expiration dates.
• Effectively acts as a resource for hospital employees regarding personnel matters following HR policies and procedures. Advises and assists management staff in the application and interpretation of policies.
QualificationsEducation
Bachelor’s degree in a related field - Required
Experience
Seven years of recruitment, recruitment marketing, event planning, healthcare management, or other comparable experience- Required
Strong knowledge and experience with managing, reporting, and structuring of functionality of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies
Experience driving proactive efforts to seek out ways to add value to NAH’s strategic priorities in recruitment and retention.
Experience in high-volume recruitment, particularly for healthcare roles.
Familiarity with Diversity & Inclusion attraction strategies, including college recruitment, networking, and relationship-building.
Healthcare is rapidly changing environment and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care. Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department. Colleagues must have an understanding of computers, and competence in using computers and basis software programs.
