Manager Regional Business Develop/ Shands Hospital/ Full-Time/ Days
Overview Serves as the primary outreach resource to develop and strengthen relationships in a designated territory for the purpose of developing and implementing strategic plans to advance business in established service areas. Responsible for gathering and reporting business intelligence to proactively address service issues, competitor strategies and market dynamics to contribute to business plans and marketing strategies that are inclusive of the organization's mission, vision, and strategic plan. Discovers opportunities to create, manage & promote educational events and programs to show case service line advancements and faculty. Identifies, communicates and documents barriers to physician and facility access & service issues and facilitates solutions throughout all levels of the enterprise. Works with other departments to acquire the related resources necessary to create results, e.g., marketing materials, managed care, IT, CME office, department administration, etc. Utilizes relationship management database to document activity accurately, timely and transparently. Responsible for departmental functions related to budgeting, strategic planning and business development systems/processes. Represents the organization at professional and association conferences and meetings to raise the reputation of the organization. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration or equivalent, and 5 years of progressively more responsible experience in business development required. Experience may substitute for degree, typically obtained by demonstrating skill in business development with at least 10 year's experience. Previous experience working in sales/business development/physician liaison services in the healthcare market or industry strongly preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in external communications, decision-making and demonstrated relationship skills are required. Will have experience in developing business plans in complex organizations. Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior management, physicians, and other stakeholders to build consensus, resolve conflicts, and sustain progress. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation (Required): (Refer to CP 1.51): Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'frequent driver' NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or University of Florida Health automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
